Meta

When Facebook was rebranded to Meta, their video-calling device Portal was rebranded too. The existing illustration style for Portal conflicted with the new design direction of Meta and its products.

As part of a larger Meta rebrand effort, I was asked to explore an illustration style that complimented Portal’s existing illustrations, while using more dynamic colors to reflect Meta’s new brand direction. I worked on some ‘Work From Home’ images and wanted to show that these illustrations could be used in both light and dark mode in product.

We also explored the idea of using an existing Company Business Brand illustration style, and I made some images to show the Portal device using those particular illustration guidelines.
